Overview of the SME Fund 2025
The 2025 SME Fund, building on the success of previous editions, provides financial aid to small and medium-sized businesses established in the European Union. The fund offers partial reimbursement of fees related to the protection of IP rights, such as trademarks, designs, patents, and plant variety rights. The SME Fund aims to reduce the financial burden on SMEs seeking to secure their IP, making it easier for them to innovate and grow. The support is extended to a variety of IP activities, including:
90% reimbursement for IP Scan: An IP pre-diagnostic service provided by EU national IP offices.
90% reimbursement for IP Scan Enforcement: Services related to the enforcement of IP rights through national IP offices.
75% reimbursement for trademark and design protection: For national, regional, and EU-level trademark and design applications.
75% reimbursement for patent protection: For various services related to patent applications and prior art searches.
